Frozen Razor Shell from Pakistan
Whole frozen razor shell (razor clam) harvested along Pakistan’s tidal flats, cleaned and export-packed for buyers supplying the growing razor clam market.
Product Overview
Razor shell is harvested by hand from Pakistan’s tidal mudflats, where the long, straight-edged shells characteristic of the species are collected at low tide and moved quickly into wash and chill lines to protect their delicate meat. Demand for razor shell has grown steadily among export buyers supplying Mediterranean-style and East Asian seafood markets, where the meat is valued for its sweet, briny flavour.
Ahadi washes each batch to remove sand and grit before freezing whole shell-on, preserving the presentation buyers want for steaming or grilling preparations. Product is graded by shell length and packed into 5 kg or 10 kg master cartons, giving importers flexibility between smaller specialty orders and larger wholesale volumes.
