Frozen Ribbon Fish from Oman
Whole frozen ribbon fish (hairtail) sourced from Oman’s Arabian Sea coastline, block-frozen whole and graded by length for export markets across Asia and the Middle East.
Product Overview
Ribbon fish, also known as hairtail, is one of the steadiest export categories out of the Gulf of Oman, prized in East and Southeast Asian markets for its delicate white flesh and minimal bone structure. Ahadi’s Oman-origin ribbon fish is caught along the Arabian Sea coast and sorted by length shortly after landing, so buyers receive a uniform product rather than a mixed catch.
The fish is block-frozen whole to protect the skin and silver sheen that buyers use to judge freshness at the point of sale, and it can be supplied round or gutted depending on the destination market’s preference. Ahadi grades ribbon fish into small, medium, large, and jumbo bands so importers can order to a specific size profile rather than an unsorted mix, which simplifies both pricing and downstream processing for the buyer.
